Vali Creus is a 40-year-old mother of 4 year-old twin girls, who
first started complaining that she wasn’t feeling well at the age
of 16, but was only diagnosed with ovarian cancer three years
later when doctors found a tumour during an operation she was
undergoing for endometriosis.
At 24 the cancer came back so they removed her second ovary
and she underwent chemotherapy. Left infertile from ovarian
cancer treatment, Vali had the world’s first successful pregnancy
from an ovarian tissue graft to her abdomen in 2013.
However, when her twin girls were born by a caesarean section,
her doctors discovered that the cancer had returned. Fortunately,
they were able to remove it in the same surgery and she was
given the all clear.
Vali is an activewear aficionado who happens to also love a
chance to dress up every now and then. Frocktober gives Vali
an excuse to frock up and tell her story, whilst having fun and
raising funds for the OCRF. “I happen to love Review, so when
they came on board to sponsor Frocktober, it felt like a perfect
match. I’ll be in the Doncaster store this year adding to my
repertoire.”
