What are must-have key pieces for those looking to build out their work wardrobe?

A work wardrobe should feel like a simplified capsule wardrobe with pieces that can work back with each other and are easy to select and style, meaning one less thing to worry about in the morning rush. For me, the must-have pieces I suggest for every woman are:A structured dress — It doesn’t matter the style, as long as it feels good, is comfortable and flatters your body shape. Stick to tonal colours and have fun with accessories. A matching suit AKA power dressing. A pant or skirt suit is a must and perfect for the days you need a little confidence boost from your wardrobe.A beautiful, tailored top — A must-have for every wardrobe, something that can be worn tucked and dressed up, or more casual depending on the day.A midi skirt — I love the Madison Skirt from REVIEW. An A line style is such a flattering style for every wardrobe. These items all allow for mix-and-match options down the track and won’t date over time. Feeling comfortable and great in what you wear are key to feeling confident in yourself, a great quality in any workplace. A new year and along with the arrival of new season pieces is the perfect time to find new inspiration for your work wardrobe and feel refreshed for the year ahead.

How to maximise versatility when dressing for work?

It’s all about your accessories – statement jewels, bold bags, textured belts, sophisticated shoes and fun opticals will make basic wardrobe elements your own. I also suggest sticking to one colour palette as it is easier to mix and match your fashion pieces to create new outfits.

How can someone use fashion to enhance their personal brand at work?

Fashion and make up can empower you and make you feel confident. You should always dress for yourself (no one else!) and use your wardrobe to express personal style. Start small by building on your colours and then work to create a capsule wardrobe of quality pieces that flatter your body. The last step is to add accessories – there is no right or wrong here – accessories are a personal choice however; I would suggest no more than 3 statement accessories at once.
