Inspiration
I’ve been working with Review for a year and a half in the digital marketing team running Review’s online ads and affiliate partnership program.
I’m inspired by all the amazing women I work with. We have such a close knit team of supportive, intelligent, and hard-working women and its truly inspiring to be surrounded by so many strong female leaders every day that are so good at what they do.
Right now, I’m just excited that I’m so close to meeting my daughter. The last 8 months have been long! I can’t wait to share life with this new little person and grow our family.
He has no idea what’s coming 😂 He sleeps in our bedroom at the moment and won’t be allowed to when the baby comes so I don’t think he’s going like that! But he is great with our 7 month old niece - he gets so excited when she’s over and won’t leave her side so I think he is going to love having a little sister.
When I was about 5, my mum used to walk me up the road to school every morning. We would sing songs and she would tell me stories. Her favourite song to sing to me was 'You Are My Sunshine' which still to this day when I hear it, it makes me tear up. I don’t remember much about being that young but this memory is so vivid. My mum lives overseas and I haven’t seen her since pre-covid so this memory is special to me.
I think the best piece of advice I’ve received from another mum is not to sweat the small stuff and just do what works for you. There are a lot of opinions that come your way when you’re about to become a new mum and it can be a bit overwhelming, so I appreciated those words of wisdom.
I just want my daughter to know that she will always be loved and supported by us no matter what. I hope to teach her to be tolerant, kind and compassionate and that life is not about what happens to you, but it's how you deal with it, learn and grow. That’s what matters.
